About eNews
The ITS Radar International project provides an intelligence service for the Highways Agency (HA) on ITS developments in Europe and around the world. It summarises key information for decision-makers and practitioners on activities related to Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and covers specific areas of key interest to the HA. This is carried out by TRL and AECOM on behalf of the HA.
Regular newsletters are being produced, covering information which is in the public domain. For more information about the project and the services provided, the web site can be reached at: www.highways.gov.uk/itsradar.
To contact us, please email us at: ITSRadarInternational@trl.co.uk.
eNews Format
Last month we changed the format of the eNews. We condensed it down by providing self-explanatory headlines and removing summary text. The full articles can still be found by clicking on the title hyperlink to take you to the ITS Radar International web site. We asked you what you thought of the 'compact' eNews and the majority of you favour this new format, so we propose to continue with this layout for the time being. If you have any further comments or suggestions, please email ITSRadarInternational@trl.co.uk.
ITS Radar International Fact Sheet on Managed Motorways published
The project has completed a Fact Sheet on Managed Motorways. This summarises international experience of managed motorways, including evaluation evidence on the impacts of the various schemes, as well as providing a brief overview of UK schemes and future developments. This is available on the Fact Sheets page of the web site.
ITS Radar International Web Site Visits – report published
We have analysed the number of visits to the web site, visits to various pages and downloadable documents as part of a review of the project. A report showing the number of visits from the Highways Agency and elsewhere, most popular documents, and most popular pages can be found on the ITS Radar International Deliverables page of the web site.
ITS Radar International Review and Forward Plan
We have prepared a report reviewing the performance of the project against its objectives and setting out recommendations for continuing the service under a future project. This is available on the ITS Radar International Deliverables page of the web site.
